Carol Nisbet, aged 87, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories and a legacy of love. She was a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, a beloved grandmother, and a caring teacher who touched the lives of many.
For over two decades, Carol devoted herself to the noble profession of teaching. Her passion for education shone through as she fostered a love for learning in her students. With kindness, patience, and unwavering dedication, she guided them along the path of knowledge, leaving an indelible mark on their lives.
Carol's love story with her husband Richard spanned an impressive 68 years, filled with shared adventures and unwavering companionship. They embarked on journeys around the globe, exploring new cultures, and basking in the beauty of different landscapes. Their love for each other and their thirst for discovery created a tapestry of cherished memories that will forever be treasured.
An artistic soul, Carol possessed a talent for sewing and doll-making. Her breathtaking creations were a testament to her creativity and attention to detail. Her dolls were not just beautifully crafted, but also symbols of the love and care she poured into every stitch.
As a grandmother, Carol was adored by her seven grandchildren—Jami Wright, Janna (Kyle) McBride, Tyler (Jessica) Wald, Mike Nisbet, Ashley (Mike) Perez, Nichole (Cody) Colbert, and Jered (Chantel) Wald. She brought joy into their lives, taking them on numerous adventures that built bonds and deepened their connection. These shared experiences will be cherished by her grandchildren as a testament to her love and devotion.
Carol and Richard's motorhome, affectionately named "Ruffinit," was a vessel that carried them through countless escapades. They traversed snow-covered mountains, gliding down slopes on skis, and forged rivers in search of the perfect fishing spot in the Alaskan wilderness. Their life together was one of adventure, creating memories that will forever be treasured.
Summer days were cherished by Carol as she immersed herself in the beauty of Canyon Ferry Lake. Each year brought new moments of tranquility and connection with nature, forging lasting memories that enriched her life.
Carol is survived by her loving husband Richard, her three children—Dennis (Robin) Nisbet, Doug (Laura) Nisbet, and Kari (Greg) Wald— her 6 grandchildren and her twelve great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her siblings, Charlotte Hopkins, Judy Ferguson, and John (Paulette) Conquergood, who will continue to hold her close in their hearts. She is preceded in death by her parents John & Ruby Conquergood, Sister Donna Mae, and her loving Grandson Michael Nisbet.
Carol Nisbet was a caring and compassionate soul, always ready to lend a helping hand. Her life was filled with adventure, love, and a passion for bringing joy to others. As we bid her farewell, let us remember her as a guiding light and a source of inspiration. May her spirit live on, forever cherished, and her memory be a beacon of love and resilience.

Services for Dick and Carol Nisbet will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Simple Cremation Montana at 315 E 6th Avenue, Helena, MT with interment with Military Honors to follow at 2:00 PM at Fort Harrison.
