Betty Lou Bellomy, age 64 passed away on September 20, 2021 at home with her family to lung cancer. Betty was born in Kansas City, Missouri to Paul and Aileen Payne. Betty attended Ott High School in Independence Missouri. Betty started her career out as a Certified Nursing Assitant, and was also a homemaker which she enjoyed. Betty was married to Murchie Allen Bellomy, who was by her side for 44 years. Betty is survived by her husband, 4 children Jeffrey and Echo Bellomy, Wanda and Stacey Hill, Kristene Ramirez, and Nicki Bellomy, 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and numerous others. Betty had a soft spot for taking care of people whether it was her own children, the neighbor kids, or her neices and nephews. She couldn't turn a child away, and always opened her home to anyone in need with no judgement. She also spent time taking care of her parents as they grew older. Betty enjoyed fishing, swimming, dancing, playing video games with the kids, playing softball, gambling, spending time with her family and holding her grandbabies and great grandbabies. Betty loved sitting on the porch visiting with everyone from her husband to the neighborhood kids telling stories and giving advice. Betty was a remarkably stong woman who fought as hard as she could. She was told she only had 6 months, and she survived for almost a year. She laughed when hospice said she only had the weekend, and survived 5 additional months. She was a very opinionated woman who didn't care to say what she thought. Betty had a loud boisterous laugh that lit up a room. She will be missed by many. A celebration of life will be held Monday September 27th from 3 to 5pm at Nickels Gaming Parlour in Helena Montana, a place where Betty spent a lot of her time before her illness.
