Ava Mae Sandrey completed her life November 18, 2023 after almost 81 years of sass.  Born in Iowa, dying in Montana, Ava spent most of her life in California.  While not a perfect person, Ava loved with a perfect love.  Completely generous, she was always helping others - sometimes to her detriment.  Her sense of humor and unfiltered commentary made people laugh – and sometimes cringe. Ava felt that anything "purple" belonged to her, and her flashy purple hair was her trademark.  She loved football - Go Vikings!, her dogs, children, and anyone she could help. Ava was preceded in death by her parents, Wilson and Lila Sandrey, brother John Sandrey, and long time friend and partner Marjorie Howe.  She is survived by nieces Pam (Herb) Byers, Christina (Brian) Oliver, sister in law Audrey Sandrey, great nephews Donovan (Nina) Sandrey, Dylan (Ally) Sandrey, Brandon Oliver, Tyler Oliver, great great nieces Melody Payne and Samantha Sandrey, and great great nephews Benjamin Sandrey and Austin McGowan. Thank you to the amazing and loving people who helped Ava during the last year and half of her life - all the generous staff at Edgewood, and Megan at Capital RX - all angels disguised as humans.  Ava, you had a big impact on many people - you are missed.
