Alfred Louis Murphy was born on October 24, 1934 to Peter and Wilma Murphy in Bowling Green, Kentucky. They moved to California where he lived until he moved to Idaho in 1976 and Montana in 2005, where he lived for the last 17 years in East Helena.

Al was very proud to have served his county as a marine during the Korean War. Semper Fi!

Al leaves behind his wife of 40 years Tammy, daughter Michelle, sons Michael (Julie) and Tyson (Laradene), and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, brother-in-law Darrel Hoffman, sister-in-law Shelly (Pat) Clinch, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Al was preceded in death by his son Sean Patrick.

There are no services planned. Al will be cremated and his ashes will be scattered at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Al's name to the John "Scott" Hannon House (previously named the Willis Cruse House) in Helena, Montana.
